Inspired by the Bittman article on burgers, I set out to see if I could improve on the boredom of the annual summer burger frenzy.
Here’s a tasty burger recipe to help save everyone from one boring chewy burger after another:
- homemade Guacamole (avocado, cilantro, tomato, lemon juice, onions, pepper & salt)
- 85% ground beef (the more fat the tastier!)
- jalapeno cheddar
- lettuce
- lightly toasted bun
There’s no secrets to this one. Just remember to salt and pepper the beef aggressively and work it throughout the meat before making patties. Grill until dark pink in the center (medium rare), drop the cheese on for melting, transfer the patty to the bun, dollop with guac and enjoy!
