One sunny summer day I was beveraging at the Habana Outpost in Brooklyn (757 Fulton Street, Brooklyn) and realized that while I was having a nice time, it would be about three times as good with a tasty sandwich. Thankfully, they have plenty. This fine specimen is the ‘devil chicken’, but should probably be renamed ‘delicious chicken sandwich that belongs in my mouth at all times.’ It’s got:
- blackened chicken
- roasted peppers
- chipotle mayo
- mesclun
It ate smoothly, with decent texture. My only real complaint is that I had to use the counterforce to prevent the chicken from slipping out the back. It’s a common problem with so many slippery ingredients, although the mesclun helps give traction. Overall, a highly recommended sandwich.
