Thai Me Up (And Feed Me Sandwiches)

Today we have a strange specimen from a Banh Mi shop on 14th street, between 3rd and 2nd called Thai Me Up. Aside from the bizarre name (who doesn’t love BDSM sandwich puns?), Thai Me Up is a cute closet-sized sandwich shop that sells a new take on the usual Banh Mi. Instead of using meats and raw veggies, they stir fry veggies with chicken, beef or tofu and add some secret sauce (‘black pearl’ or ‘white ginger’) and voila, a tasty salad-sandwich.

This one is the ‘white ginger’ and is very tasty (and sounds much less like a pirate ship…). The biggest problem, as you’ll see, is that it’s all very slippery and mushy. Even the CounterForce technique had some trouble keeping all the sauce and water and veggies intact. And it makes a disgusting puddle of stuff on your plate when you’re done and you’re already full but you eat it with a fork anyways, because it’s “still good!”.

  1. What a stuff of un-ambiguity and preserveness of precious knowledge about unexpected
    emotions.
